MURDOCK TOUGH OLD GOAT
Rupert Murdock, the CEO of News Corp stood before Parliament to answer questions about phone hacking on behalf of News of the World, one of many newspapers in his empire. This is a man with a dynasty which spans many levels of media including BSky B, a satellite company, that he is no longer pursuing now that he is under investigation. A lingering question, will the United States indict him?
Mr. Murdock has a a Pisces Sun. Dynasty building is usually not a Pisces trait. They are the dreamers. But every tycoon probably has a little bit of this in him -- the ability to think bigger than the next guy. It's his restriction oriented Capricorn rising that makes him a tough old goat. Pisces are gentle people, kind and compassionate. But Capricorn? Get out of their way. They are the climbers. Success means everything to them.
A Sagittarius Moon is not that difficult to spot. They tell it like it is without a lot of consideration for others' feelings. So it's interesting that he has this placement -- now that he is accused of spying on other people. But, I guess if you could say he was tapping people's phones to get the truth? Also interesting is that this is a focal planet which means he's sensitive. He's a kind, caring Pisces with a truth telling sensitive Moon and stern work driven Capricorn rising. He sort of sounds like a nice guy. But here's the wrinkle, he also has march-to-your-own-drummer Uranus as a focal planet. Bending rules is what they are all about. They make it up as they go.
What's up for Rupert? For the last four years he had protective Jupiter looking out for him. But it's over now. Similar to Casey Anthony no other aspect has taken its place. So essentially it's still in play. Hard to believe because New of the World closed down. But I predict that he's going to make it through the latest controversy with the aggravating result that he may benefit by it. People will be hurt by what is happening, but it, ultimately, it won't bring him down.
