RICHARD HATCH SURVIVOR OR FOOL?
When Richard Hatch won $1 million on "Survivor" you might have thought he would have the progressed Jupiter chart that causes amazing things to happen. But instead his progressed Mars opposed progressed Jupiter. Not good. With a negative aspect to money (Jupiter), was he going to enjoy the money? As we know, he went to jail for evasion of income taxes for three years.
First, I wouldn't have expected him to win "Survivor." But for someone else to win, they would have had to have a better chart. Perhaps, no one did? Richard Hatch shows that winning isn't always what you think it might be.
But there is a stranger thing that happened to Richard. He did get the progressed Sun trine his Jupiter -- while he was in jail!!! Now that's just crazy. So at least he would win his appeals during that time. No, he didn't. Why not? Maybe it was because he was lying. You're already in jail and Jupiter wants to protect you, but are there times when even Jupiter can't rescue you? I haven't seen this very often, but guess so.
Is Richard Hatch as evil as he was accused of being. One sign of evilness is a natal Moon in Capricorn (which he probably has without knowing the time) -- "every gesture has a touch of evil."
Now that Richard is a semi-free man, his chart is definitely in the toilet. With progressed Mars square to Neptune, and progressed Sun square Pluto, he shouldn't be expecting to be vindicated now.
This may truly be the case of a misguided, egocentric (natal Sun focal planet of two oppositions) man who manipulated his way into money (that the universe was not prepared to give him at that time) and, consequently, missed his opportunity to cash in when it would have come easily. This might be a very good morality tale for the rest of us to take it slow and go with the flow. When it's right, it will happen.
