Weren't We All Rooting for Vanna? She's Earned It

I was hoping Vanna White was in the running for the next host of Wheel of Fortune. We love Vanna. It was announced that it will be Ryan Seacrest. As much as he is the consummate host proven over and over by his time on American Idol and recently quitting Kelly and Ryan… which makes me wonder, did he plan this all along?

Kelly Rippa can’t catch a break. She keeps partnering up with men who surpass her. Possibly the reason she picked her husband, Mark Consuelos, as her new co-host. I wonder.

I’m a fan of Wheel. I watch most nights and fantasize I will win a new car. Very unlikely with my skill set. So I’m invested. My take on it is that Ryan is not the right person for this job. He’s over-exposed. And he currently has predictive Mars opposing Saturn coming up. Mars makes things go wrong. Saturn is your job. An opposition generally means that you’re going to get some clap back from someone. It will be there when his new job starts. I’m just not getting the Seacrest vibe. After the fiasco at Jeopardy, ABC didn’t want to go there again. But this is over-correct. And the reason everyone needs an astrologer that uses the Xtrology method.

Ryan is a Capricorn Sun/Venus/Mercury. His Moon is in exalted Taurus. Can’t you tell? These are the most unruffled people on the planet. His Mars is in Sagittarius. And he has one focal planet, Pluto giving him very strong opinions about right and wrong. Without his time, a pretty normal guy. Does his job. Keeps his private life private. Bigwigs like that.

I thought Wheel would be amazing with Vanna and her perfect figure and maybe, an update on the prom dresses. She could feature L.A. designers. Give some other women a break. Although I’m not totally sure she could pull off the kind of snarky wit that Pat Sajak was so good at — but there are writers for that. It really comes down to the brief interviews because the rest is just standard.

And Maggie Sajak for the letter turner? She’s gorgeous and part of the Wheel family already. It would keep a sense of continuity. Didn’t she just become a lawyer? It might not fit with her plans. But fans, like me, would love it.

Vanna’s chart, unfortunately, is not that great. Not bad, but she needs the Jupiter luck. And it’s just not there. Timing is everything. I thought after all these years... She could still turn the letters, but it’s a bit anti-climatic. While she wants to continue, I’m not so sure she will get the chance. Again her chart isn’t negative, but she’s a 66-year-old woman in Hollywood? Run Vanna. Run. Your TVQ is through the roof. Capitalize. If ABC doesn’t want you, kick them to the corner. Someone else will recognize your star quality.
