OZEMPIC WORKS. BUT STILL IT IS CHEATING
Now the Dogs Are Prettier Than We Are. That's Right I Said Dogs
I was watching the Westminster Dog Show because wanted to see the dogs, but all I could see were a bunch of fat women running with boobs bobbing up and down and the jiggling of rolls of fat. Okay, I was impressed with the running but all I could think is that it’s not their fault. The processed food we’re eating? The drugs doctors are pushing on us? Our beautiful country with all it’s beautiful people just isn’t that beautiful anymore. The dogs are now the stars? What?
I totally agree with the people that are saying that the weight loss drugs are cheating. You’re not doing the work — the clean diet and exercise. But what if you are doing all those things and it just isn’t working? Well, that’s what was happening to me. After being sick for too long and gaining weight, in 2019 I was ready to get lean and mean. I exercised. I ate mostly organic. I would go three, four days being perfect and then I would eat just one thing that made it all go away. And this went on for years. I was fatigued! And getting close to just quitting. I needed a win.
So I tried Ozempic. Even though my illness was the result of too many prescription pills — too many toxins — for me sleeping pills being the biggest culprit. I was gambling with my heath. But psychologically, I needed to lose even just a small amount of weight. I wanted to get back into my clothes. I wanted to like myself.
I don’t believe you can take Ozempic for the rest of your life. Everything about it says it’s a short term fix. Then you’re back to doing the work. One thing I was sure about is that it isn’t worth losing weight if you look like a heroin addict. I didn’t want to lose the weight fast. I’m too old for that. So I did a very, as it turns out, smart thing. I kept eating. Because if you don’t eat, you will experience nausea. And it can be extreme. But I found that if I continued eating that didn’t happen. So I cut what I was eating in half. And, yes, you just aren’t as hungry as you normally are due to the stomach emptying slowly. But that has a huge side effect.
Extreme constipation right from the beginning. Even when I was on the low dose that you start on. I had to drink senna tea and take laxatives no matter how much fiber I tried to get in my diet. And this is the primary reason, I cannot do this forever. So now besides taking Ozempic, I’m taking more pills.
Here is the reality of weight loss. It takes a deficit of 3,500 calories to lose one pound. That’s 500 calories a day less that one normally eats to lose one pound a week. And there are a zillion women in this county eating 1,000 to 1,200 calories a day. So you weren’t eating much. Now you’re eating much less. If food is your god, this is not going to work for you. The food still has to go.
I also found that protein made me nauseous. So I found myself eating too much sugar and carbs and dairy while one pound a week came off. It was exhilarating!!! Minus the bathroom issues. I could get in my jeans. Ten weeks later — ten pounds thinner.
Here’s what I think the celebrities are doing. First, they are taking really high doses. Many are probably not sticking to the prescribed regimen where you increase your dosage slowly. Second, they are not eating protein. Third, They aren’t eating at all. And fourth, they are, like me, taking too many laxatives for too long a time. Otherwise you are not going to get these extreme weight losses. Some people, of course, have a completely different experience.
And don’t be afraid of the needle. It is teeny tiny. It just doesn’t hurt.
But please be careful that you see this drug as a solution to a sedentary life of overeating, Whoopie Goldberg. And stop lying, Kelly Clarkson. Lying is cheating on another level. Stop with the excuses. You look great!
I totally recommend the weight loss drugs, keeping in mind I’m not a doctor, just from my personal experience. But only short term. We’re going to see all these celebrities gain the weight back, again, Kelly Clarkson. They’re going to get tired of the nausea, the bathroom issues and if you’re a foodie, you want your food back. And that’s assuming you don’t run into bigger problems.
Take a memo from Best in Show, Sage, the miniature poodle. Sunshine, exercise, clean food and a nice bone now and then. Treats are what you get when you’ve done a good job. Good girl.

I don't see Ozempic working in the long run.
